By accessing or using Lafeef's services, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms & conditions. If the customer does not agree to all the terms and conditions, then the customer may not access the service or use any of Lafeef's services.
These terms cover all furniture rental aspects, including selection, delivery, usage, and return.
The rental period begins on the date the furniture is delivered to the customer and ends on the date the furniture is collected by Lafeef. The rental period can be extended upon request, subject to availability and additional fees.
Customer is responsible for paying the rental fees as specified in the rental agreement. Fees are due in advance and must be paid by the agreed-upon due date. Late payments may incur additional charges.
Customer confirms that the signatory has full authority to execute the rental agreement.
Bookings must be confirmed by signing and returning the rental agreement or quote.Booking acceptance is confirmed by either a 50% advance payment or a signed purchase order (PO) even if the document remains unsigned.
Prices are quoted in Saudi Arabian Riyals (SAR). Payment conditions entail an initial 50% upon order confirmation and the remaining 50% to be settled 48 hours prior to delivery. Acceptable payment methods include bank transfers, credit card payments, and, exceptionally, cash.
Orders confirmed within 24 hours or less may be subject to a rush fee, equivalent to 20% of the rental fee, in addition to the rental fee. Lafeef's standard time to confirm the order is 48 hours before the event.
A refundable security deposit of 20% of the total rental value, is required to cover any damages or loss of the rented furniture during the rental period. This deposit is refunded within 10 working days from the collection date after deducting costs of damages or loss if any.
Standard lead time for Riyadh (local) deliveries is 48 hours from order confirmation. For intercity destinations like Jeddah or Neom, a minimum of 4 working days is required, excluding public holidays. International deliveries necessitate a 7-working-day lead time from the confirmation date.
Delivery and setup fees are determined based on the location and are finalized upon booking. Customer must ensure venue accessibility by securing all necessary permissions in place, failure may incur additional costs or cancellation without refund. Additional charges may apply for delivery and collection outside of Lafeef's standard service area or for specific delivery requirements.
Lafeef's cancellation policy outlines the following refund structure:
Cancellations made 14 or more days before the event will incur a penalty of 25% of the total fee, with the remaining 75% refunded.
For cancellations made between 4 and 13 days before the event, a penalty of 50% of the total fee will apply, and the remaining 50% will be refunded.
Any cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will result in a 100% penalty, with no refund provided.
Customer must use the furniture for intended purposes only. Furniture must not be altered or used inappropriately.
Reporting damages : It is essential for customer to inspect the rented items upon delivery and immediately report any discrepancies or damages to Lafeef's delivery team on site or write an email or drop a text message to sales consultant. If the delivery note remains unsigned by the customer but the event proceeds, it will be deemed as if the customer has signed off on the condition of the items upon receiving as “In great condition”.
Customer liability for damages : Customer is responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of any items damaged while under their care, excluding normal wear and tear. Damage costs will be assessed based on the extent of damage and the repair/replacement costs involved.
Severity of damage : For items returned with damage beyond normal wear, whether on short-term or long-term rentals, Lafeef will calculate repair or replacement costs as follows, unless a different rate has been agreed in writing prior to the rental term commencement.
◦ Minor damage: Such as scratches or small dents, may incur a repair fee. The cost will be directly related to the nature of the damage and the actual expense of repairing it.
◦ Significant damage: If the item is severely damaged and cannot be repaired, the customer may be charged up to four times the rental value or the replacement cost of the item.
Lafeef retains the right to reclaim rented items upon contract termination or breach of terms, using reasonable force if necessary, after providing 24 hours' written notice.
Lafeef will repair or replace malfunctioning or incorrect equipment within 48 hours of notification. No rental fees of such item will be charged until the issue is resolved.
Lafeef is committed to protecting customer information. Personal information provided by the customer will be used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the rental agreement. Updates to privacy policies will be posted on Lafeef's website.
In the event of a force majeure, Lafeef will make every reasonable effort to implement business continuity measures to minimize disruptions. Customer is expected to cooperate in implementing temporary solutions or securing alternative equipment if necessary
Lafeef shall not be liable for any damages or losses due to equipment malfunction or breakdown or any damages to persons or property caused by rented items. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Lafeef harmless from any claims or liabilities.
Lafeef and the customer will execute a disaster recovery plan that includes notification procedures, safeguarding of equipment, and identifying alternative delivery or collection locations to minimize disruptions to service in the event of unforeseen circumstances. customer is responsible for collaborating on these efforts to ensure minimal disruption.
Should Lafeef undergo a significant change in ownership or control, Lafeef will notify customer in writing. Customer has the right to review the impact of these changes on their service agreements and may terminate the agreement if the changes negatively affect the ability to meet contractual obligations.
Any post-confirmation additions or changes to orders must be documented in writing. Adjustments to the terms and associated costs will be confirmed through this process.
Customer bears any additional costs related to permits, tolls, taxes, duties, or tariffs. Changes after delivery incur extra charges.
Lafeef retains the right to photograph equipment at customer events for marketing purposes. Customer identities and private properties will be excluded from such media unless explicit consent is obtained..
Lafeef may terminate the rental agreement, without affecting other rights or remedies, if the customer fails to pay any due amount on the relevant due date and fails to remedy this breach within 24 hours. Lafeef may, at its sole discretion and without providing a reason, terminate this agreement by giving the customer 10 days' written notice.
No waiver of any provisions of this agreement shall be effective unless expressly stated as such and signed by both parties.
If any provision of this agreement is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed, and the remainder of this agreement shall continue in full force and effect, with the illegal or unenforceable provision eliminated.
All communications under this agreement shall be in writing and may be delivered electronically, by hand, or sent via commercial courier to the address specified in this agreement or to any other address notified by the addressee.
Any claim, dispute, or difference arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be referred to and finally settled under the arbitration rules of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) by a sole arbitrator appointed In accordance with the said Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English.
Lafeef reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on Lafeef's website or notifying customer through other means. By using Lafeef's services, customer agrees to be bound by the most current version of these terms and conditions.
